Job summary
This is an exciting role working with the Experience and Learning Team,(formerly Learning and Development), where you can really make a difference! The role will involve working with clinical and E and L colleagues to ensure colleagues have the right training and competencies for their roles.
You will provide leadership and line management for the safety and clinical skills facilitators, be responsible for curriculum alignment and monitoring, and provide a link between education and patient safety.
You will be instrumental in aligning clinical skills training across our newly merged Trust.
This role is based in MusgrovePark Hospital, but covers the whole Trust and will involve travel to different sites. Access to a car is required.
Main duties of the job
You will:
- Work with Clinical Skills Governance, the Safety Team, Curriculum Manager and Simulation Co-ordinator to develop and deliver a curriculum of clinical skills to meet the needs of the Trust.
- Work with the Deteriorating Patient Lead to provide a learning framework of that reflects best practice in the care of the deteriorating patient (including sepsis)
- Work with senior managers to identify core clinical skills for identified service delivery areas, and develop and deliver training to individuals, groups or teams providing specialist advice as required.
- Working closely with the simulation team to develop an in-situ simulation program to be supported by the clinical skill teams.
- This role will involve working across the Trust to support the alignment of clinical skills training.
