Job summary

To work with the Admissions Manager to organise the Outsourcing and Insourcing programme ensuring the Outsourcing spreadsheets and Trust EPR system is updated real time and to liaise with key stakeholders in its management.

To assist the coordination of a comprehensive patient centred admission service ensuring continuity in achieving excellence in patient care within local and national time frames.

To support and supervise Band 2 members of the Admissions Team to ensure Admissions processes are followed and that waiting lists and theatre lists are managed efficiently and effectively.

Main duties of the job

Communicate effectively either by telephone, face to face or email with all staff responsible for the co-ordination of Outsourcing and Insourcing work. To weekly liaise with the Outsourcing sites on updates and actions. To update the Outsourcing spreadsheets, Patient Target Lists (PTLs) and the Trust EPR system real time.

Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • Good knowledge of the Trust EPR system or similar
  • Proven experience of working with elective waiting lists or similar.

Qualifications & Training

Essential

  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent, or demonstrable relevant experience
  • Computer/Word processing qualification or ECDL NVQ Customer Care/Service
