Somerset Foundation Trust are committed to leveraging digital innovation to enhance patient care and streamline our operations and as we embark on an exciting digital transformation journey, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Digital Project Managers to join our team.

The Digital Project Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful implementation of our Trust's digital systems. In this role, you will take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring they are executed with precision, adhere to project controls, and drive positive change within our organisation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and clinical/non-clinical staff to deliver transformative solutions that improve patient care and business efficiency.

Main duties of the job

  • Project Leadership: Manage single or multiple projects from inception through to operational use, ensuring project objectives are met within budget, on time, and with the required quality standards.
  • Change Management: Collaborate with the Service Design and Experience Team and the Improvement Team to facilitate digitally enabled change, ensuring robust change management processes are in place.
  • Benefit Realisation: Identify and document business benefits, assign ownership, and work with the Programme Management Office to achieve them.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders throughout the project life cycle, ensuring organisational procedures are followed, objectives are met, and benefits are realised.
  • Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers and staff, both clinical and non-clinical, to deliver systems and processes that support and enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Clinical Safety: Collaborate with Clinical Safety teams to identify, document, and mitigate possible hazards and risks associated with digital implementations.
