Our CAMHS Enhanced Outreach Team in Somerset would like to welcome a Child and Family Support Worker to join our experienced team, supporting Young People in crisis.
This role will suit someone who understands the challenges and risks when working with children and young people with mental health issues.
You'll be assessing, treating and evaluating intensive treatment provided to clients referred to the team. You'll provide education, advice, and practical support to young people and their families as well as brief therapeutic interventions.

This is a county-wide post but your base is negotiable depending on your location.
Main duties of the job
You'll have the support of the team around you, including qualified professionals and fellow support workers, as we work together to support children and young people in crisis. The team supports young people with complex mental health presentations in the community, to prevent hospital admissions, and on the rare occasion admission is necessary we also support young people to return home to their families.

The CAMH service is constantly evolving and we can provide you with staff development, training, regular supervision and a positive team environment.
