Project Manager/Lead Band 7 or 8a
In Somerset, our vision is for children and young people's mental health and emotional wellbeing to flourish and for each young person to be happy, connected and prepared for adulthood, every young person who needs help in relation to their mental health will know how to access that help and will be able to do so easily and swiftly and mental health services will be responsive, person-centred and of the highest quality possible.
This post is designed to provide project management / coordination for Somerset's project with key responsibilities below listed in the job spec.
The successful candidate will have the ability to influence care pathways for Children and young people in Somerset.
** Please note this is a 12-month contract post **
22.5 hours a week
Salary/banding will be dependent on skills and experience. Professional registration desirable
Hosted by CAMHS/Somerset Foundation Trust in collaboration with the ICB
Main duties of the job
- To improve access into services by removing barriers for all children and young people, but particularly Children Looked After and those not attending mainstream education
- To co-ordinate a multi-agency approach which acts as an effective co-ordinating forum to identify and evidence the needs of children and young people
- To identify any gaps in the current provision for CYP in Somerset
- To improve partnership working between statutory and VCSE providers in Somerset who deliver mental health and emotional wellbeing support to children and young people
- To guide and make recommendations for commissioners around mental health service provision in Somerset

- To use negotiation and motivational skills to gain support for the project across a breadth of stakeholders, including commissioners, providers and service users.
- To use effective communication to ensure that project delivery, performance and outcome information is coordinated with other relevant projects across Somerset.
- To ensure the change brought about by the project is managed effectively and efficiently
