An exciting, opportunity has opened up for a Clinical Psychologist to join our Children's Eating Disorder Service (CEDS). You will work alongside other psychologists, and the wider team to provide high quality psychology support to young people and their families.
CEDS is an exceptional group of passionate and dedicate clinicians. We are a stable team with a nurturing, developing, and dynamic ethos. There is high level of expertise, and this is shared across the team so that everyone always feels well supported. We have a very strong identity as a team with solid trusting working relationships.
We co-work all cases so everyone feels held in their ability to manage high risk. Although the work is demanding, the team all enjoy their roles and we have fun along the way!
The team has no waiting times, and provides a robust and intensive service offer, a fantastic paediatric pathway and almost no Tier 4 bed usage. We're grateful to be expanding and are always looking to welcome new clinicians to join us.
We are able to consider a developmental role into Band 8a, for the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
You'll support the delivery of the service and ensure that it meets national guidance and local key performance indicators and pprovide evidence based, psychological therapy to young people with eating disorders, and their families.
To share responsibility for the day-to-day functioning of the team to ensure a high level of care is offered consistently.
Evaluate and participate in ongoing service development and delivery in conjunction with the wider team and ensure young person's participation.
This role will involve supervision and support for junior members of the team, consultation with multiagency colleagues, direct clinical work, and teaching and training. There is also the opportunity for further training as required. There are strong links with the wider psychology team.
To support the ongoing development/CPD of the clinical and non-clinical staff including yearly reviews.
