Job summary

Would you like to work for an integrated and forward-thinking team that are at the forefront in improving Orthopaedic pathways and service delivery?

We are looking for an enthusiastic physiotherapist who wants to promote evidence-based practice and who has a passion for rehabilitation and teaching.

We work collaboratively to deliver a holistic Orthopaedic pathway for both trauma and elective Orthopaedics patients. Providing access to the right care, by the right person, at the right time.

The post holder will work between the Orthopaedic wards at Musgrove Park Hospital, this includes day case arthroplasties, elective work, trauma, silver trauma, an admissions unit and a private ward. Orthopaedics have recently developed their day case arthroplasty pathways and have established pathways for poly trauma, spinal cord injuries and elective surgery. The case load is varied. There is no On Call commitment but instead an Orthopaedic weekend rota and some evening work for the day case arthroplasties.

I would strongly recommend a visit if you wished to apply for the post so that you can view our facilities in this location, surrounding areas and meet our friendly team.

Main duties of the job

This role will see and treat complex orthopaedic injuries and a variety of elective orthopaedic surgery.. The post holder will work as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team.

Undertake teaching and mentoring of other team members promoting clinical reasoning and best practice.

The post holder will also undertake a normal physiotherapy caseload
