This is a great opportunity for you to work in a small multidisciplinary team with a shared caseload as a Band 6 Community Mental Health Professional within Taunton Assertive Outreach Team.

Taunton Assertive Outreach Team is part of an expanding Assertive Outreach Service in Somerset and we are welcoming applications from enthusiastic and creative professionals to join our supportive team.

Main duties of the job

The team provides intensive mental health support to individuals with complex, severe and enduring mental health difficulties in the Taunton area, working in a creative and dynamic way to deliver specialised care to patients with complex needs. The team focuses on supporting individuals who historically have struggled to engage with standard community mental health support and are at high risk of relapsing or admission into inpatient services.

You will be working as a senior clinical member and delivering care for individuals within a shared caseload in the team. You will have a key role in supporting other members of the team in the development and delivery of mental health care in the community.

You will be committed to a recovery approach and have the ability to be flexible and work as part of a team.

About us

You will receive support and guidance from the rest of the team and a clear supervision structure as well as a focus on your own personal and professional development through the Trust's PDR process.

There will also be the opportunity to take on the supervision of junior members of staff within the team under the direction of your line manager.
