High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (IAPT)
- Band 7, permanent, full time or minimum 30 hours a week based in our Mendip team delivering face to face and remote therapy
WE ARE a busy IAPT service in one of England's most desirable counties. Alongside CBT, we offer other time-limited Step 3 interventions (eg. IPT, DIT, EMDR, Mindfulness) as well as innovative Step 2 treatments, such as guided self help, therapeutic groups, webinars, and a digital self-help portal.
WE PROVIDE effective and timely evidence based therapies following the IAPT model. We value patient outcomes and have a recovery rate consistently above 60% . Our innovative assessment and treatment model means there is no wait for step 2 interventions and effective systems for accessing step 3 interventions.
Main duties of the job
YOUR ROLE will be central to the running of the team. You will provide high intensity CBT interventions, working with clients who have a range of anxiety, depression and PTSD related problems for which CBT is evidenced to be clinically effective. You will also be trained to provide duty cover.
We have a strong supervision model that provides individual clinical and workload management supervision. You will also have opportunities to clinically supervise others within the service.
We value CPD and have access to IAPT top-up training in Clinical Supervision, MBCT, LTC and in trauma focused Cognitive Therapy for PTSD. We support our staff to attend these trainings based on their learning needs and the requirements of the service.
Blended working possible: Since March 2020 we have been delivering therapy remotely. We are in the process of moving back into venues with clinicians having a split of remote and venue based work. Successful applicants will be expected to adapt to the patient needs.
