Job summary
Would you like to work for an integrated and forward-thinking team that are at the forefront in improving Orthopaedic and MSK pathways and service delivery?
We are looking for an enthusiastic physiotherapist who wants to promote evidence-based practice and who has a passion for rehabilitation and teaching.
We work collaboratively across Somerset to deliver a holistic Orthopaedic and MSK pathway with a system-wide approach to improve patient access to the right care, by the right person, at the right time.
Do you want a role that allows you to further your physiotherapy rehabilitation skills and promote the education of others?
The Outpatient department has a range of inhouse specialities including MSK and hydrotherapy. Referrals are made from the acute trust, as well as the surrounding Gp practices and other physiotherapy teams. The case load is varied. We have evidence-based treatment pathways, with regular teaching and mentoring of team members. We have a rehabilitation gym and hydrotherapy pool onsite. There are well established ACL rehabilitation and ESCAPE pain classes. The rehab team consists of two highly trained gym technicians who work independently and help patients transition to mainstream exercise. There is no On Call commitment but instead an Orthopaedic weekend rota.
We have a clear path of progression onto the advanced Masters degree level qualification in first contact physiotherapy
