An exciting opportunity to join our dynamic Acute Inpatient Diabetes Team here Somerset Foundation Trust.
The post will be a permanent role and will give an opportunity for a nurse who has experience in Diabetes to come and work alongside our team and expand their knowledge. Educational provision in the care of diabetes, both internally and externally to the Trust is equally an essential element. As a Diabetes Specialist Nurse the post holder will be responsible for delivery of safe and effective care and support of patients living with Diabetes.
Main duties of the job
Working as part of a dynamic and exciting service where you will utilise all your skills and experience in communicating with patients, colleagues, internal and external contacts in a courteous, professional and timely manner at all times by various methods, i.e. telephone, written, face to face or virtual consultation
About us
The post will include rotational working when we have fully established the team and development of the post and will also be expected to rotate into the Community diabetes team in the future as the service looks at new ways of working as part of the Diabetes Vision for Somerset.
