Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Test Analyst to join the SCR Team. We are a friendly, dedicated team experiencing unprecedented growth and working to maintain and improve the products and services provided to our customers.
The successful candidate would be expected to lead and co-ordinate the day-to-day delivery of SCR testing as directed by the Test Lead. The post holder will be required to follow and develop testing standards and will be required to supervise other test staff in their testing activities.
Main duties of the job
Lead on the day-to-day development, maintenance and running of test scripts / tests in line with the Test Plan
Allocate test scripts / testing to other test team members and provide supervision / support and guidance as required
Chair the daily triage meeting, ensuring bugs, defects and issues triage outcomes are accurately recorded and actioned in line with defined processes
Allocate regression test scripts to assigned regression testers and ensure that regression test results are reviewed, and defects / bugs are raised as appropriate
Deputise for the Test Lead
Occasionally cover customer support during periods of support team members absence

Job responsibilities
Allocate work to SCR Test Analysts and other testers to identify, run and manage test scripts, identify any test issues/risks and report in line with testing standards
Assist the Test Lead in the creation of test plans and day to day management of each test cycle
Undertake test script creation and testing as required by the Test Lead
Assist the Test Lead in defining the Test Approach / Strategy for each release
Support the Test Lead in providing checks at agreed stages of the testing lifecycle including acceptance criteria and appropriate gateway review criteria
Liaise closely with suppliers and other stakeholders to facilitate the timely resolution of queries or operational issues affecting deadlines or completion of tasks
Identify risks and issues on assigned releases, upgrades, or changes
Report on status of testing and associated issues as required
Ensure associated documentation is kept current

- Educated to A level in IT related subject or equivalent gained through specific relevant experience
Desirable
- ISEB Testing Foundation Qualification
Knowledge

- Excellent working knowledge of computer operating systems and software applications including MS Office applications
- Good understanding of the software development lifecycle
Desirable
- Understanding of NHS business and clinical processes
Experience
