We are looking to appoint into 10 sessions, however we are able to offer a high level of flexibility and would be open to discussing the numbers of sessions you are looking for. You can also choose to be based at our site at Yeovil District Hospital, Yeovil or at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton or a combination.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to expand our Orthodontic team, and we are flexible in our approach. We currently have an established team of three Orthodontic Consultants, two trainees, two specialty doctors, and plans are being finalised to train an inhouse dental nurse as an orthodontic therapist at Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton and Yeovil District Hospital, Yeovil. We also have an established maxillofacial department and restorative dentistry department, as well as an onsite orthodontic dental laboratory.
You will provide consultation services for General Dentists and Specialist Orthodontists in primary care, offering advice for all patients and treatment for those with the greatest clinical need. You will also have involvement with Specialist Outpatient Services including; Joint, Orthognathic Clinics and Joint Restorative Clinics. There is also a link with the South West Cleft Team and the ability to do the orthodontic treatment for these patients on site.
