Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join the Cancer Directorate, providing high-quality administrative support. We are seeking a well-organised team player with excellent communication skills, who thrives in a busy, challenging yet rewarding environment. You should demonstrate a positive approach to change and be highly motivated to work both effectively and efficiently. In this role, you will support departmental operations by preparing and circulating meeting agendas, taking accurate minutes, and ensuring timely follow-up of agreed actions. You will manage shared inboxes, including coordinating room booking requests, and act as a key point of contact for day-to-day enquiries. The postholder will also process invoices, support the raising of purchase orders, and provide general administrative support across the department to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery. This is a hybrid role, incorporating a combination of onsite and home working.
