Assistant Cardiac Physiologist

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated assistant cardiac physiologist to join our busy cardiac physiology department.

You will be involved in all aspects of the non-invasive Cardiology Department and will be expected to assist in the timely, efficient and safe delivery of Cardiology procedures.

You must be able to coordinate the day-to-day running of the ECG and ambulatory monitoring service performing and reporting under indirect supervision and will also be involved with the exercise testing and MIBI services.

Main duties of the job

Our Cardiology diagnostics department is the perfect place to start. You will be provided with full training to enable you to undertake this role. You will be performing diagnostic tests within the Cardiology Department for example ECGs, fitting ambulatory monitors.

We are a friendly team based in the outpatients department and are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to help us deliver excellent patient care.

You must be able to coordinate the day-to-day running of the ECG and ambulatory monitoring service performing and reporting under indirect supervision and will also be involved with the exercise testing and MIBI services.

In addition to this, you will be expected to undertake ordering and audit stock levels as part of their role.

Essential

  • Level 2 numeracy and literacy, or equivalent.
  • Good standard of general education

Desirable

  • Working towards SCST proficiency exam/SCST Cardiology Exam
  • Basic and/or Intermediate Life Support

Experience

  • Proven work experience dealing with public in a customer service environment.
  • Experience using Microsoft software. Word/Excel.
