Job summary
Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Paediatric Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation (10PA) at Addenbrooke's Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH). The post will contribute to both Paediatric Haematology (5PAs) and Paediatric Allogeneic BMT (5PAs) services.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will join the established team of four Paediatric Haematologists and five WTE Paediatric Oncologists, in providing paediatric haematology tertiary service to children in the East of England Region. They will have specific responsibilities for providing both clinical and laboratory support for the malignant and non-malignant Paediatric Haematology Service.The post holders will also work in the newly established paediatric allogeneic BMT service. This is an exciting opportunity to join a recently developed paediatric allogeneic BMT service, building on the established autograft service, with joint JACIE accreditation with the adult/TYA allogeneic BMT unit.
You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have CCT or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
