We are looking for a Senior Pharmacy Procurement Team Leader to supervise and support the Senior Pharmacy Procurement Assistants with the following tasks:
- Processing daily orders for medicines
- Review outstanding and declined orders
- Respond to supply issues
- Support with the contracts updates
You will also be responsible for assisting the team in the day to day operations of Pharmaceutical Procurement for the Trust, to provide an economic and efficient purchasing service. Applicants must have significant experience of pharmacy procurement with a thorough working knowledge of procurement including knowledge of Commercial Medicines Unit (CMU) contracts.
Main duties of the job
You will support the Senior Pharmacy Procurement Assistants in all areas where required and offering guidance on handling complex supply problems.
You will be responsible for reviewing training documents and delivering training to Senior Pharmacy Procurement Assistants and any rotational staff that undertake procurement tasks.
You will work closely with the other members of the department to ensure that all required information on our procurement function is provided in an accurate and timely manner.
To support the delivery of an efficient purchasing and contracting service to meet customer requirements ensuring the best value for all organisations served and to promote this service to all users.
