We are delighted to offer an Apprenticeship in the Imaging Department. If successful at interview, you will start as a Radiography department Assistant (Band 3) and progress through training to become a Diagnostic Radiographer.
Apprentice,subject to successful final interview with the University of Hertfordshire.

Radiography is a rewarding career which requires a highly developed knowledge and professional skill-set to enable you to work across a range of settings.
Main duties of the job
- Diagnostic Radiography Degree Apprentices (Level 6) will work under the supervision and guidance of a qualified Diagnostic Radiographer for the duration of their apprenticeship (3 years).
- The post holder will carry out radiographic examinations in line with local departmental protocols, as well assist in the imaging department as requested by qualified Diagnostic Radiographers.
- This will include working with multi-disciplinary teams to care and support individuals to achieve diagnostic imaging in a range of tasks.
- The post holder will work closely with the Diagnostic Radiographers and other members of the multi-disciplinary team to image patients in order to diagnose, treat or improve management of patient conditions in order to facilitate discharge from hospital.
Apprentices will be working towards completing a Diagnostic Radiographer degree with an affiliated HEI.
The apprenticeship will comprise of:
- On the job training and academic weeks at an affiliated University.
- On the job - mentorship and structured progression for the student (e-portfolio).
- University sessions set for practical components.
- Flexible learning approach - online lectures / interactions to aid flexible learning.
