Job summary

We are looking for a new member of the staff to join our expanding team in the Endoscopy Department. The Endoscopy Department offers a complete range of high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic services to patients.

We are seeking a friendly, efficient and reliable individual to join our administrative team within the service. You should have clear and concise communications skills and be confident to communicate with patients over the telephone. Full training will be given to support you in the role.

Main duties of the job

The aim of the job role is to deliver and maintain an administrative service within the Endoscopy Department and to all its users; patients, relatives and colleagues. You will be responsible for the booking of both diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopic procedures. You will ensure all national and local targets are met (including the cancer pathway). Duties will include booking scheduling endoscopic procedures, dealing with telephone enquiries, rotational work within the unit's recovery and reception area, sending Endoscopy pre-procedure preparation to patients, cancelling, maneuvering and amending Endoscopy Lists and other activities that the department requires.
