We have recently undergone a multi-million pound extension to meet the needs of the region's growingpopulation, this and the recent visit from the CQC has enabled enhanced funding to enhance our currentmidwifery workforce.

The 'new' and improved Rosie includes an expanded 10 bedded state of the art pool rooms within the birthcentre, a pool room facility in the delivery unit and one of the biggest neonatal units in the UK, and is fullyintegrated with the existing Rosie hospital to help to ensure the Trust can deliver care in modern facilities thatmeet the needs of women and their families, providing greater patient choice and further improving patientexperience.

Main duties of the job

To provide clinical midwifery care based on current research based evidence, ensuring an optimumlevel of safe and effective care throughout the Maternity Services.

Working in this speciality

The Rosie Maternity Hospital provides maternity, gynaecology and neonatal services to the localpopulation of Cambridgeshire, extending to parts of North Essex, East and North Hertfordshire,Suffolk and Bedfordshire. Specialist services in high risk obstetrics, fetal and maternal medicineand neonatal intensive care are provided for the whole of the eastern region.
