Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join our Pathology Quality team. This is a great opportunity for someone to use their administrative and IT skills, as well as gain experience in data, information, analysis and tools relating to laboratory quality performance and to support in the management of our electronic quality system, IQM.

The role requires administrative and organisational skills, the ability to prioritise effectively whilst working to deadlines, a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. Experience with data and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word are highly desirable, as is experience with minute taking, the production of reports and activities related to quality improvement.

Main duties of the job

To assist the team as the first line contact for the management of internal and external queries, with responsibility for the management of the Pathology incident email account. To support the use and maintenance of the IQM system, managing account users, advising and coaching scientific staff in all aspects of the application and reporting on system performance. Supporting the team with the organisation and delivery of training, minute and action taking and other quality related tasks such as audit, alongside assisting in the facilitation of external accreditation and maintenance visits.
