We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for aBusiness Administration Level 3 apprenticeship within the Trust's Executive Offices, where the executive directors who oversee the running of our hospital are located. We are looking for a friendly, adaptable and well organised person to join our team to gain skills and knowledge of an administrative role within the NHS, whilst providing support to the Executive Assistants and Business Support Managers in the Executive Offices.
Main duties of the job
Our team provides a comprehensive support function to the Trust's Board of Directors, and the apprentice role will be key in undertaking general administrative duties and contributing to the smooth running of the office. There will be opportunities to learn a wide range of administrative tasks, shadowing meetings and assisting in event management.
Candidates should be enthusiastic, self-motivated and forward thinking with excellent communication and organisational skills, have the ability to use their own initiative, have good attention to detail and be able to multi task and manage their time efficiently as well as being able to adapt to change within a fast paced environment.
The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a team, be well presented, polite and helpful at all times and be willing to undertake and learn new tasks. Duties will include communicating with internal and external colleagues via email, telephone and face to face and completing general administration tasks.

Come and join us and be supported to earn as you learn whilst undertaking a nationally recognised qualification. You will study a Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship. It is ideal if this type of role is new to you, where you can learn and build new skills. You will need to have minimum GCSE Grade 4/C or Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English. You will be enthusiastic, have a positive work ethic, be keen to learn and able to work in a team. You will receive support to gain a wide range of experience and skills, supervision and mentoring.
The contract length is for 24 months and the apprenticeship salary on commencement is £14,400; after 12 months in post this will increase to the National Minimum Wage (depending upon your age). The Trust is proud of its values of Together Safe, Kind and Excellent and looks to provide its staff with support, training and progression opportunities; towards the end of your apprenticeship contract you will be supported by the Apprenticeship Team to apply for permanent employment. We have a high percentage of previous apprentices who have successfully gained further employment within the Trust with opportunities to gain higher qualifications.
There is no upper age limit on joining us as an apprentice.
