Job summary
We are looking to appoint a well organised individual to work alongside our current senior coordinator to provide a professional, efficient and high quality administrative service to the Vascular Studies Unit (VSU). Main responsibilities include coordinating the departmental diary, scheduling patient appointments from the waiting list/workqueue for routine and urgent vascular ultrasound investigations using the Trust's electronic patient information system, answering telephone calls - including complex and confidential patient related information, and ensuring patients are imaged within their pathway targets. Further to this, contributing to the departmental procurement process and supporting the vascular specialist nursing team for specific tasks.
Main duties of the job
You will be a key member of the VSU team working closely with clinical colleagues on a daily basis. Regular communication with consultants, specialist nurses, ward staff and medical secretaries would be expected. The ability to prioritise effectively and to remain calm and focused under pressure is important as the position can be demanding, therefore excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a priority. You must be well presented, friendly and welcoming to all and uphold our values of Kind, Safe and excellent at all times.
