Job summary

Applications are invited for a 10 PA full time Consultant in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine, to join the well-established respiratory team at Addenbrooke's University Hospital in Cambridge. The post will contribute to the tertiary paediatric respiratory service.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant for this post will join the established team of 5 Consultants in Respiratory Medicine. A specialist interest in long term ventilation/non-invasive ventilation or sleep disordered breathing, is desired but not essential, as well as experience in flexible bronchoscopy.

You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have a CCT in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine/Paediatrics with specialist interest in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine, or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Leadership is a key requirement of doctors' professional work and this innovative programme is designed to support Consultants to hone the leadership and management skills they need to succeed at CUH

About us

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
