We are moving to a brand new department early 2025 and are looking to expand our workforce significantly before that move.

Cambridge University Hospitals Histopathology department is one of the largest in the country with over 130 non-medical staff supporting over 50 consultant Histopathologists. There is site specific reporting and we support many regional and national programmes.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team, as a Cancer service coordinator, providing comprehensive support to the department towards meeting the Histopathology improvement plan.

Main duties of the job

To manage a professional, effective and efficientCancer Service with the primary focus being management and delivery of key targets across the service. The post holder will also support the planning, development and implementation of service improvement.

Duties include delivery of national cancer targets and coordination of the Cancer Service as well as line management of an administrative team.

To be point of contact for cancer escalations and clinically urgent histopathology requests
