Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual who is passionate about leadership development to join the Deputy Chief Nurse team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.

As the lead for Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) leadership development, you will play a key role in the overall development of a career framework for nursing, midwifery and AHPs. This will include the design, implementation, management and evaluation of leadership educational activities and programmes to meet our key objectives aligned to the Nursing, Midwifery and AHP strategy.

You will have a proven track record in project management and stakeholder engagement.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Deputy Chief Nurse, you will play a key role in the overall development of a career framework for nursing, midwifery and AHPs (NMAHPs). This will include the design, implementation, management and evaluation of leadership educational activities and programmes for NMAHPs to meet our key objectives aligned to the Nursing, Midwifery and AHP strategy.You will be expected to develop, lead and facilitate Trust-wide leadership development programmes for identified groups of NMAHPs to support the development of existing and future leaders.You will be required to undertake regular quality assurance reviews to assess the impact of leadership education for NMAHPs and provide comprehensive performance reports to ensure that activities/programmes are aligned to the NMAHP strategy priorities.You will work with the trusts organisational and development team to develop a map of talent within the NMAHP workforces and a succession plan for leaders.

  • To be certified PRINCE 2 Practitioner or equivalent project management experience
