Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Cambridge Breast Unit administration team based at Cambridge University Hospital and work within the National Breast Screening Programme.

The Office Manager will work closely with the Breast Screening Programme Manager and Imaging Service Lead to ensure that the Cambridge and Huntingdon Breast Screening Programme is managed in line with national targets. The role also includes assisting with day-to-day management of overall service delivery.

You will ideally have experience of managing staff and be experience in computer systems. You will work in close collaboration with all members of the multidisciplinary teams in primary and secondary care to provide a co-ordinated and seamless service.

Main duties of the job

You will support the Programme Manager in the effective delivery of the local routine breast screening programme across the Cambridge and Huntingdon catchment area. This will involve using a number of different computer systems including NBSS and Epic depending on the clinical pathway.

The role will include the coordination of routine 3 yearly invitations for breast screening, day to day management of screening clinics and subsequent assessment clinics, processing of screening results, booking imaging appointments, national data monitoring and production of KPI reports, answering incoming calls from the public and dealing with queries.

The Office Manager will also support the Programme Manager to lead and motivate the administration team.
