Cambridge University Health Partners (CUHP) is one of eight Academic Health Science Centres (AHSCs) in the UK, whose mission is to bring together the NHS, industry, and academia to improve patient healthcare.

Main duties of the job

The Head of Data Strategy & Partnerships will take a major role in the delivery and development of this 'Data pillar' programme for CUHP, supporting the transformative use of data across partner organisations and the wider Cambridge life science community.

The role will also work closely with the Health Informatics team at Health Innovation East who have experience and expertise in data research programme management and delivery, infrastructure development, and data management.

You will need to work independently making decisions and be responsible for planning, and prioritising, their own workload as well as collaborating with the wider team. The role will require relationship building and interaction with senior (CEO level) representatives within member organisations, government, national and international funders and industrial partners.

The position requires a highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills to develop and drive forward strategic priorities on behalf of CUHP, HIE, the partner organisations and the Cambridgeshire cluster.

About us

Cambridge University Health Partners (CUHP) is leading on the implementation of a Cambridgeshire Life science Strategy on behalf of its members, the broader ecosystem and the Cambridge and Peterborough Combined Authority. The Strategy and Investor Engagement Manager will be working across all five pillars of the strategy (talent, funding, network, data and place), with a particular focus on working with national and international investors. This role has been created in response to request by CUHP members and also the accelerators, and current venture capital investors in the ecosystem.

  • Post graduate degree (or equivalent experience) in health care, science, technology, or business.
  • Evidence of on-going career/professional development.

Desirable

  • Project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE II Practitioner) or equivalent.
