The East of England Major Trauma Network has an exciting opportunity for an AHP or Nurse to become our Rehabilitation Clinical Director Practitioner.
We're looking for someone with experience in clinical and operational leadership within rehabilitation in the East of England. This is a multi-faceted role that includes being able to have a strategic overview of rehabilitation service delivery within the region, understand impact of health inequalities and drive changes to close gaps, maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders and ensure appropriate delivery of its work.
You'll be collaborating with regional and national NHS organisations, the six East of England ICBs, commissioners, and non-NHS organisations, working with complex information. You'll be required to develop and maintain contacts across the rehabilitation landscape.
You'll be leading on rehabilitation workstreams developed by the Trauma Network and will have the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders such as the East of England AHP Board, The East of England Rehabilitation Network, as well as other regional and national stakeholders, including people who use rehabilitation services.
This post is a secondment for 18 months at 3 days per week. It will consist of mainly remote working while hosted by Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Main duties of the job
The Network Rehabilitation Director Practitioner will provide leadership for the delivery and further development of rehabilitation services within the East of England Trauma Network. This includes both adult and paediatric populations.
The Network is made up of the Major Trauma Centre at Cambridge University Hospitals and twelve Trauma Units across the counties of Norfolk, Suffolk, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Essex, and Cambridgeshire.
Lead on the identification of rehabilitation elements of the annual Work Programme and work with the Trauma Network team to deliver the Programme. A strong contribution to achieve the strategic objectives and relevant national and regional performance targets for the Network is expected.
Develop relationships across all partners within the East of England network ensuring the promotion of the use of the Rehabilitation Prescription.
Close teamwork with the other members of the Trauma Network will be required.
Demonstrate expertise and be a specialist in the field of rehabilitation.
