Job summary
We are looking for a focused, flexible and experienced MR Radiographer who shares Addenbrooke's ideals to join us and benefit from the rewards that our team provides for patients, staff members and the community.
The MRI department at CUH is one of the busiest Trusts in the UK and offers opportunities to get involved in a wealth of patient examinations, including Neuro, MSK, GI, GU, Gynae, Vascular, Thoracic, Cardiac, Paediatric and Research and Development. You will be involved in types of imaging not carried out elsewhere in the country and in some research instances worldwide. We thrive for excellent image quality at all times, leading to several prizes, presentations and recognition in the MRI community across the world.
We also provide and deliver a vast and complex workload for patients with medical devices implanted (Pacemakers, Neuro-stimulators, complex shunts, etc), having a dedicated and skilled team responsible for the service and this particular patient care.
Main duties of the job
To take an active part in the provision of the MR service at CUH and Community Diagnostic Centers whilst maintaining the highest standards of MR imaging and patient care at all times.

Our working facilities include CUH (Addenbrooke's Hospital and Rosie Hospitals) and Network CDCs at Ely and Wisbech.
The department is open from 7 am to 8 pm Monday to Sunday. We provide a 24/7 emergency on-call service and participation will be required by default. We support CPD and also hold staff training to cover both the technical and practical aspects of scanning. Postgraduate training is encouraged and supported.

We have six MR systems, complemented by a network of MR experts, high-performance scanner hardware and supporting ancillary equipment.
CUH is also strongly invested in networks for CDC ( Community Diagnostic Centres), creating exciting opportunities for the MRI team to improve patient experience and outcomes. You will be trained and expected to deliver a high-quality standard of care at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Rosie Hospital and the correspondent CDCs managed by the CUH Foundation Trust.
