TheCambridge Dialysis Unit is located inFen Ditton, Cambridge.You will be employed by Cambridge University Hospital working in partnership with Fresenius Medical Care. The36 bedded satellite unit compromises of32 stations and4 isolation rooms, dialysingchronic long term dialysis patients from in and aroundthe Cambridgearea and providing holiday dialysis for patients from other areas.
The role will involve working in a health care environment, looking after dialysis dependent patients, working alongside skilled and knowledgeable nursing staff, whilst learning some of the key specialist skills in order that you can help with dialysis treatment. We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to assist the existing nursing staff in the preparing, carrying out and finishing of the patient's dialysis treatment. The successful applicants must have an interest in working and learning new skills in a clinical environment and be willing to work a variety of shifts whilst completing any level three competencies. An in-house training programme is in place to bring the applicants up to speed for working in the unit. This is a busy and rewarding post for anyone interested.
