Job summary

CUH is looking for well organised and committed individuals to join the Procurement Team to support as Goods Receiving Assistants.

Goods Receiving Assistant

You will provide an efficient and effective service to all areas within the Trust by accepting and processing deliveries. You will be responsible of verifying delivered items, unloading trucks, ensuring items are stored correctly, and processing returns.

These roles are very important within the Trust and you will be providing a key service to the Trust, so that the rest of the staff can continue to provide the patient care.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for the daily delivery of NHS Supply chain deliveries, including assisting unloading roll cages from the Service Yard to designated PGI location and sorting of mixed roll cages.

Ensuring accuracy of daily NHS Supply Chain roll cage manifest, logging quantity of returned roll cages.

  • ECDL (European Computer Driving License) or equivalent
  • CILT (Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport) Level 2 or higher or equivalent

Experience
