We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual with quality improvement experience, as well as a proven track record of working with clinical and non-clinical teams to facilitate successful change and quality improvement. Applicants must have experience with managing incidents and risk.
The role is based within Cambridge IVF (CIVF), we are part of CUH but based off-site in Trumpington. CIVF is an assisted conception unit, backed by some of the world's most advanced medical research and offering a unique journey for each family in our care.
You must have excellent communication skills, be adaptable, flexible and innovative. It is essential that you have the ability to work well on your own, but also able to work well within our varied teams within CIVF. You must be highly motivated to deliver excellence in your work.
Main duties of the job
Under the direction of the senior management team, you will:
Be accountable lead for quality management across the CIVF service.
Be responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of quality management for CIVF, providing expert advice, guidance and support.
Manage and coordinate all necessary preparations for external audits and regulatory inspections, including; Human Fertilisation & Embryology Authority (HFEA) and UKAS. Liaising with other services as appropriate.
Manage an effective document control process, focusing on the timely review of active documents and expedition of draft documents through the approval process to publication.
Promote quality improvement within CIVF.
Manage and perform audits for CIVF across all departments, including; nursing, medical, science and administration.
Assist the Deputy Operations Manager with the operational performance of the Unit, particularly in relation to the implementation of new and improved services.
