Job summary

Ward U3 is looking for a motivated Sister/Charge Nurse to join our busy, friendly Specialist Team.

Our new U3 Haematology ward, featuring 30 beds, is set to revolutionize patient care in Haematology/Oncology patients. We deliver a wide range of therapies and Specialist care and offer exciting training opportunities.

You will assist the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in the overall management of the Ward; ensure patients are provided with a safe, individualised, holistic and evidence based care and provide leadership to all members of the ward promoting effective teamwork.

This post involves a full range of shifts, including nights and weekends. You will also be required to hold a divisional bleep.

Experience in looking after cancer patients is essential.

Main duties of the job

Assist the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in the overall management of the ward. Ensure patients are provided with a safe, individualised, holistic and evidence based care. Provide leadership to all members of the ward promoting effective teamwork. Act as Divisional bleep holder.
