We are looking for a Deputy Head of Finance with the drive and passion to support decisions that help deliver the best care for our patients. You will be working in one of the largest Trusts within the UK.
The ideal candidate will have extensive management accounts knowledge and experience and will be comfortable presenting and interpreting complex information to senior staff members, both financial and non-financial. The role will have team management responsibilities therefore you will need to demonstrate team leading ability, strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Main duties of the job
The post will provide in depth analytical support to their Head of Finance. The Deputy Head of Finance, where required, will represent the finance function at Management & Operational meetings and support with providing strategic financial and business planning advice in line with Trust objectives. The post holder is expected to interpret Trust policy and be skilled in presenting highly complex, and sometimes uncomfortable, information to make persuasive arguments for a course of action to a range of senior managers.
At all times the Deputy Head of Finance must ensure that statutory and other returns conform to national accounting standards to reflect a true and fair view. The post holder must adhere to Professional Bodies' requirement for Continuing Professional Development and maintain an understanding of changes in the NHS Financial Regime.

- Responsible for the management of financial reports, playing an integral role in planning activities and advising the business unit teams.
- Providing in depth analytical support to the Head of Finance.
- Contributing to the effective reporting of efficiency initiatives.
