Job summary
Applications are invited posts of Clinical Fellow Core/Higher (ST3-5/ST6+) in Emergency Medicine at Addenbrooke's Hospital.
These posts are available from 07 February 2024 for 6 months and with the possibility of extending after that time by mutual agreement.
The Emergency Department (ED) at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the biggest in the region seeing over 130,000 patients a year. The hospital is the Major Trauma Centre for the East of England region covering a wide geographical population and 12 other District hospitals.
There is access to all hospital specialties and all investigative facilities including Ultrasound within the ED. There is extended supervision and training with Consultant presence from 08:00-03:00 and 24/7 senior Trainee shop-floor presence.

Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be treated like all other Trainees within the Emergency Department. They will be assigned an Educational Supervisor and will be able to attend the monthly departmental teaching program. Experience gained in these posts could be counted in future towards training applications through the CESR-CP pathway.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at point of application is required.

Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
