The Critical Care Audit Team are responsible for collecting a specific set of data as per the ICNARC Case Mix Programme for all patients admitted to one of our 55 Critical Care beds.

This role requires you to have a keen eye for detail and data accuracy. Full training will be given, knowledge, experience and evidence of Human Biology and/or Physiology & Anatomy and data collection is required. You will be expected to undertake any and all training to perform your role successfully. After training you will be expected to collect and validate the data, prepare reports both for internal and external distribution and run some data analysis. You will need to demonstrate excellent Time management skills as well as the ability to work autonomously whilst being part of a strong Team of likeminded individuals

Main duties of the job

To be part of an effective and efficient Audit service to Adult Critical Care and its users.

Using EPIC to retrieve patient data to collect a unique data set with accuracy.

Using prior knowledge/experience of Medical Terminology and/or nursing/critical care.

Responsible for compilation and distribution of the monthly Critical Care reports with accuracy and attention to detail.

Compilation of any ad-hoc data requests.

Ability to communicate in various formats across all levels both inside and outside of the Trust.
