An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join the Clinical Education Team to provide high quality administrative and secretarial support as a Band 2 Administration Assistant with added Business Admin Level 3 Apprenticeship
The Clinical Education Team are part of the Corporate Division within Cambridge University Hospitals, overseeing the education and development of healthcare support workers, pre-registration non-medical students, international nurses and newly qualified staff. This role will have the opportunity to assist with the administrative duties across all workstreams.
Main duties of the job
We are looking to appoint a well organised individual who enjoys working as part of a team. You will need to have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a busy, challenging but rewarding environment.
Main duties of the role:
- To contribute to the provision of a professional administration service to the Clinical Education Team (CET) and all its users including patients, relatives and colleague
- Provide the Clinical Education Team with an efficient administrative service
- Perform basic administrative tasks including upkeep of records. This could include photocopying, printing, scanning, preparation and circulation of department documents.
- Support the CET administratively in the delivery of projects as required and as directed.

This role would be ideal for someone who has some form of basic administration skills. You will need to have minimum GCSE Grade 4/C or Functional Skills Level 2 or above in Maths and English. You will be enthusiastic, have a positive work ethic, be keen to learn and able to work in a team. During the apprenticeship you will receive support to gain a wide range of experience and skills, supervision and mentoring.
The Trust is proud of its values of Together Safe, Kind and Excellent and looks to provide its staff with support, training and progression opportunities; it is the teams aspiration that this post holder will move into a substantive Band 2 role on successful completion of the apprenticeship standard.
** Please note that this is a permanent post in which you will be completing an apprenticeship for the first 2 years within the Clinical Education Team. On completion of the apprenticeship you will be allocated to a permanent admin vacancy within the Trust which may not necessarily be in the area the apprenticeship has been completed in.
There is no upper age limit on joining us as an apprentice.
