Job summary

We are looking for knowledgeable and enthusiastic Datix administrator to work with the Datix Manager to support the day to day running andfuture development of the Trust's incident and risk management systems.

You will work with the team to ensure high quality content management of the database, providing training to the Trust staff, support clinical staffwith the completion of records and generate reports for users at all levels of the Trust.

NHS systems knowledge and understanding of clinical and non-clinical risks, staff and patient safety within an acute setting together withexperience of using Datix and its suite of modules is essential, together with excellent organisational and personal skills.

Main duties of the job

The Safety and Quality Support (SQS) department functions as a central clinical safety and quality agency to support the frontline staff indelivering safe and effective care, and in learning and implementing change.

The department also assures the Trust Board in regard to clinicalperformance and compliance.

The department is divided into several sections, each with a distinct function but with strong relationships and interaction across sections. Eachsection is led and managed by a head of section, reporting to the Deputy Chief Nurse - Quality.

The Trust uses the Datix Web to record and manage Incidents, Risks, Complaint, PALS, Claims, Clinical Audit and Safety Alerts. The system ishosted externally and maintained by Datix.

Datix is a key component in the Trust for managing risk and safety, allowing both the reactive and proactive detection of risk to be registered,managed and monitored effectively. The availability, integrity and security of the system is critical.

The Datix Administrator will work with a co Datix Administrator and two Datix support team members to support the Datix Manager with themaintenance and improvement of the Datix Web system.
