The role as a Radiopharmacy Technician would be ideal for someone with a background in Pharmacy Technical services or Nuclear Medicine. For the right candidate who shows an aptitude for the job we would encourage further training to help with future career development.

Main duties of the job
Perform duties in Radiopharmacy to aid the safe and efficient preparation of radiopharmaceuticals for use in diagnostic and therapies indication for patients across the region.
- Responsible for assisting the Radiopharmacy Production Manager, Quality System Manager and the Head of Radiopharmacy in the provision and development of Radiopharmacy Services within Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
- Performs and coordinates technical duties to ensure smooth running of the Radiopharmacy Unit ensuring supply of radiopharmaceuticals for patients at Cambridge University Hospitals and other hospitals requesting the service.
- Participates in the maintenance of the Radiopharmacy documentation system for the facility, equipment and environment.
- Undertakes training of students, trainees, and other junior staff including Assistant Technical Officer in the Radiopharmacy Unit.
- Undertakes the highly specialised quality control systems for the manufactured radiopharmaceuticals in close cooperation with the Radiopharmacy Production Manager
