Job summary
Applications are invited for a 10PA Locum Consultant in Medical Oncology (Gynae and Germ Cell) at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to commence from 24 July 2023 until 21 July 2024.
This post is available to support the Gynaecological Cancer Service at CUH and the research programmes of the CRUK Cambridge Centre. In addition the post holder will support the Germ Cell Service at Addenbrooke's Hospital.
The Oncology Centre at Addenbrooke's serves a core population of 1.3 million, with an extended catchment area of 2-4 million for rare tumours. The Royal Papworth Hospital moved to the Cambridge Biomedical Campus in 2019. The Cancer Centre provides a regional Oncology Service with a strong research base and extensive clinical trials portfolio.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to contribute significantly to clinical and translational studies and recruit to trials.
You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have a CCT or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
