Job summary

Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST3-5) in Medical Oncology at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to commence from 02 August 2023 until 06 February 2024.

Main duties of the job

This post is suitable for doctors, who have completed their Core General Medical Training and wish to pursue a career in Medical or Clinical Oncology (posts are equivalent to ST3 level Oncology Common Stem).

There will be opportunity to see inpatients and outpatients, and participate in multi-disciplinary meetings for the management of solid tumours. Participation in research and audit projects is strongly encouraged.

It is expected that 3 days (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) will be based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Kings Lynn (QE) and two days in Addenbrookes "CUH" (Tuesday, and Thursday).

Please note that this post does not carry Postgraduate Dean's approval or training recognition.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at point of application is required.

About us

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
