Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our Surgical Team as a Deputy Team Lead, working in the Trust's adult surgical areas.
You will work within a team of Physiotherapists who support the post-operative management and rehabilitation of a wide range of patients who have undergone surgery. We are a large Major Trauma, multi-speciality hospital supporting both the local population and wider tertiary populations. You will have the opportunity to work with multiple surgical specialisms such as:
Colorectal
HPB
Upper GI
Transplant
ENT/Max fax
Urology
Plastics
Vascular
The team is friendly and dedicated towards the delivery of an excellent service for all our users, as well as constantly looking at better ways to provide a service. This opportunity is open to experienced Band 6 Physiotherapists, who wish to specialise in the Physiotherapy management of patients who have undergone surgery. You will be strongly supported in developing new skills, career development and implementing innovative initiatives.

Main duties of the job
To provide a high standard physiotherapy service to surgical patients on the Wards, Addenbrooke's Treatment Centre and PACU.
To further develop skills in caseload prioritisation, service development audits and staff management.
To deputise for the Band 7 Team Lead and develop team management skills whilst carrying a complex patient caseload.
