Are you an experienced safeguarding children practitioner looking for a new challenge? We are currently looking to recruit a passionate Named Nurse for safeguarding children to join our team.
The safeguarding team at Addenbrooke's hospital works closely with specialist safeguarding practitioners across the lifespan both within the Trust and with wider health and multi-agency partners to provide safe and excellent care to our patients and their families.
This is a full time post and you will be expected to work closely with the Adult and Maternity leads as well as the Head of Safeguarding to deliver the expert role across the organisation in accordance with national guidance.
Main duties of the job
- To work closely with the Trust's Named Doctor, Midwife and Adult lead as well as ICB Designated Professionals in supporting all activities necessary to ensure that the Trust meets its statutory responsibilities in Safeguarding Children
- Ensure pro-active inter-agency partnership working by participation in Partnership activities, shared with the Named Doctor and Head of Safeguarding
- Advise clinical and non-clinical Trust staff, police, social care and other agencies on health matters with regard to safeguarding children in hospital.
- To provide the Trust with operational leadership and a expert knowledge on safeguarding children and to ensure the Trust has appropriate structures and systems in place to manage and provide assurances on it's safeguarding children responsibilities.
- To provide visibility to the safeguarding team and wider organisation to include the senior management and executive level teams.

- RN (Child) / RSCN (Part 8 or 15) OR RN (Specialist Community Public Health Nursing: child and family focus)
- Post - registration training in Child Protection / Safeguarding children: law, policy and practice at Level 3 or PG Diploma
