Job summary
This post is for our Materials Management Store. This entails picking supply's of clinical consumables for the Wards and Clinic areas from orders that come through and are then printed off on a daily basis. You will then pack the goods for loading into cages, labeling the cages clearly where it's for, so our Distribution Team can delivery correctly.
You will need good commutation skills for answering the door for when hospital staff members come for extra clinical consumables that we hold.
We need someone who can report and log order details onto the system and also receipting deliveries that come into store. Some IT skills are essential, but training will be provided. There will be daily booking-in and booking-out of goods and then putting away of said goods / orders.
This is a manual handling duty with a lot of pushing / pulling cages and handling boxes.

Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for assisting with the activities and replenishment of our Materials Management Store. Activities will include ordering, picking goods from the stores, receipting and putting away the stock.
Preparing the orders and picks for Trust wide areas, loading the goods into cages, all cages will need labelling and set out ready for delivery. This needs to be done in a safe and timely manner to ensure that clinical areas receive their goods to provide continual care to our patient's daily.
The store must be kept clean and clear of rubbish at all times, good housekeeping is essential.
You will support the Team Leader and the other members of the team with all tasks and activities.
You may be asked to change shift times to cover the service when needed.
