Job summary

Applications are invited for the posts of Clinical Fellow (Core) in Urology with or without Postgraduate Master's Degree at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH). Post one commences on 03 June 2022 to 01 August 2023 and the other from 03 August 2022 to 01 August 2023.

Main duties of the job

The duties of these posts include working within the Department of Urology at junior level on a full shift rota (subject to confirmation and change).

Opportunity also exists for assisting in theatre and to be taught to perform minor and intermediate urological procedures. When on-call the post holders work closely with the on-call Consultant who is freed from all elective activities in order to deal with on-call issues and provide on the job teaching.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.

This post may be suitable for those wishing to undertake an "F3" role.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
