Job summary
Applications are invited for the post of Senior Clinical Fellow in Trauma and Orthopaedics (Shoulder) for a period of 6 to 12 months. Commencement dates range from 2 August 2023 to 6 February 2024, however commencement after February 2024 will also be considered.
The applicant must have Completion of Specialty Registrar training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in the UK or equivalent with CCT, and be fully registered with a license to practice with the General Medical Council at the time of application.
Main duties of the job
The post will provide excellent exposure in both elective and trauma surgery. The successful applicants will be involved in the care and management of patients in the clinic and ward and in both day-case and in-patient surgery.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual to undertake a fellowship to train to consultant level in elective and trauma shoulder surgery
The appointees will also be expected to be actively involved in both research and teaching.
Please note that these posts do not carry Postgraduate Dean's approval or training recognition.
The Fellowship has had full PMETB approval as an out of training post and is likely to do so again on application to the successful applicant's Deanery.
About us
The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
