Job summary

West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust has an exciting opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to join our friendly and supportive pharmacy team on a temporary basis via our internal bank.

We are looking for a pharmacist who is already working confidently at Band 6 or Band 7 level and can provide high-quality pharmaceutical care within a busy acute NHS Trust.

Main duties of the job

As a bank pharmacist, you will contribute to the delivery of clinical pharmacy services across the Trust, focusing on service provision. You will be expected to provide support to the pharmacy dispensary and the clinical areas within Medicine, Surgery and Admissions, while ensuring the safe and efficient supply of medication and clinical advice.This post does not include a structured development or progression pathway (rotations); however, you will be working within a supportive, well-established pharmacy team that values professionalism, team-work, and high standards of patient care.

  • Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical or Technical Pharmacy or nearing completion, or equivalent demonstrable experience
