Job summary
We are looking for a Medical Secretary/P.A. to join the Neurology Team at WSH. The Neurology Department is made up of five consultants, an honorary consultant from Addenbrookes Hospital, a team of specialist nurses and three medical secretaries.
A Medical Secretary/P.A. is needed to assist the team with their administration work and clinical typing. Part of this role will be setting up clinics and booking up follow up appointments.
Liaising with the Telephone Appointments Staff to ensure clinics are set up in a timely fashion and all slots are utilised.
You will responsible for your consultants day to day diary, annual leave, professional leave and study leave.
You will be dealing with patients with acute and long term neurological conditions, these include motor neurone disease, first seizures, Parkinson's disease etc.
Main duties of the job
To provide a comprehensive personal assistant/secretarial service in support Consultants and associated medical team, ensuring the provision of an efficient and reliable service.
