Job summary

Rainbow Outpatients is our busy Children's Outpatient Department. We provide care to children and young people across the range of paediatric medical specialties.

We are looking for a passionate and proactive Nursing Assistant to join our busy department. If you are an experienced Nursing Assistant then we would love to hear from you.

We are a friendly, supportive team that are passionate about delivering first class care to the families and patients who access our service, whilst working closely with other members of the multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate can look forward to working in a professional environment with colleagues who are passionate about delivering outstanding care, whilst being supported in your own personal development

This role can be offered as Band 2/3 dependant on experience and competencies. Those commencing the role as a Band 2 whilst training, will move to Band 3 upon completion of competencies.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an individual who possesses a flexible approach to working hours and duties, our current shift pattern covers Monday-Friday from 8.30am to 6pm.

For individuals working within the core hours, the Trust offers parking off site at the Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club, which is serviced by a regular shuttle bus to and from the Hospital. Details of the bus timetable can be found in the on-line starter pack on the West Suffolk Hospital website.

This parking restriction does not apply if an individual is required to work on a weekend or if they are required to complete on call duties within their role.
